Why get a massage you ask?
Do you want a way to relax in a comfortable environment? Do you constantly feel the tension in your shoulders and back? Do you have trouble sleeping? Do you suffer from pain in your muscles? Do you have headaches? Do your hands ache from repetitive motions such as computer work? Are you in need of some self care or “me” time? Well, the question really is...why NOT get a massage?!
Types of modalities of massage offered:
Swedish massage is the most commonly used method in the United States. A combination of long gliding stokes, kneading, as well as friction techniques on the more superficial layers of muscles are used. this massage promotes circulation, relaxation, and can help reduce emotional and physical stress.
This is a form of deep tissue massage that applies concentrated pressure specifically to individual muscles. This is a very detailed approach used to increase blood flow and to release trigger points, intense knots of muscle tension that refer pain to other parts of the body. Client participation generates the greatest results.
This approach is used to release chronic patterns of muscular tension using slow strokes, direct pressure, or friction. Often the movements are directed across the grain of muscles (cross-fiber) using the fingers, thumbs, or elbows. Specific hand positions and strokes are then used to respond to various tissue qualities. Techniques employing breath and movement are also used for releasing congestion of the muscles.
Aroma Touch Therapy:
For thousands of years essential oils have been used to help heal, calm, and rejuvenate. Aroma Therapy combined with touch using these oils directly on the skin will be used to maximize their unique benefits. This massage also incorporates Swedish.
Hot Stone Massage:
The benefits of Hot Stones will be yours as they are set on the body to promote relaxation, soothe muscle aches, and improve circulation while others will be used for long, flowing Swedish massage strokes.
Aroma Touch Therapy and Hot Stone:
